Is it true that Mount Vernon students receive free transportation to YAA?

Yes! Thanks to our friends at the Mount Vernon Department of Recreation, all Mount Vernon students can access a free bus from their school to YAA at their school’s dismissal time. A bus departs YAA at 6:00, taking Mount Vernon students to the Doles Center for pick up.

dO i NEED TO PROVIDE MY OWN INSTRUMENT?

Yes, except for piano and drums.

Do I need to study voice or my instrument privately?

Ideally, students will study privately as this promotes the most efficient progress and a sound technique. Most of our current students study and take their parts to work on with their teachers at their regular lesson. For a list of private teachers that we recommend, please email us at admin@youngatartsny.org.
